Products reserved by online orders
Promised, but not gone yet: an order paid online reserves its items before pickup. Who's waiting for what, and orphaned promises to release.
In this article
This counter is the difference between what's on the shelf and what you can still sell. A paid online order reserves its items before pickup: they're there, but they're no longer yours to sell.

Who's waiting for what
The product, the quantity set aside, the original order and how long it's been waiting. This is the answer to "how many do I really have left to sell?" before promising the last bottle to someone else.
Orphaned promises
A reservation whose order has been cancelled or refunded is flagged: it ties up stock for nothing. It's the anomaly to deal with first on this screen.
Returning stock to the shelf
Releasing a promise puts the quantity back on sale immediately.
Frequently asked questions
What's an "orphaned promise"?
A reservation whose order has been cancelled or refunded, but which keeps tying up stock for nothing. It's the anomaly to deal with first on this screen.
What happens when I release a promise?
The quantity becomes sellable again immediately, as if it had never been reserved.
Should I always release a flagged promise?
No, only if the order is genuinely abandoned. If in doubt, open the order from the shop before releasing anything.
Does this counter replace my physical stock?
No, it adds to it: it's the difference between what's on the shelf and what you can actually still sell.
