Who can get into the studio, and with what rights. Everyone has their own account — never a shared password: this is what lets you know who did what, and cut off access for one person without affecting the others.

One account per person

Name, email and role. The studio's menu adapts to the role: an employee sees neither settings nor billing.
| Role | What they see |
|---|---|
| Owner | Everything, including the subscription and invoices. |
| Manager | The whole studio, except Buiiild's billing. |
| Reception | The desk: calendar, clients, till, marketing. |
| Team member | The calendar, client records and payment. |
| Basic team member | Their own calendar only. |
The screens that commit the business — till closings, compliance, settings — only appear for management accounts.
Managing an account
Change the role, reset the password, or disable access for someone leaving the salon — without deleting any of their work.
Inviting someone

- Enter their name, their email, a temporary password and their role.
- Confirm with Create the account.
- Pass this password on to them for their first sign-in: they'll be able to change it from their account.
Frequently asked questions
An employee forgot their password
From this screen, reset it and pass on the new one. They can also use "Forgot password" on the sign-in screen, if they have access to their email.
Can an account be limited to a single device?
No, but two-factor authentication protects each account from a stolen password: see Turning on two-factor authentication.
