Unalterability, security, retention, archiving: the four obligations of article 286 I-3° bis of the French tax code are guaranteed by the till itself. You have no setting to turn on to be compliant — this page is here to prove it.

The check you can rerun in front of an inspector

Run it whenever you like: it recalculates the whole chain of your sales and closings and reports "intact" or lists each break, one by one. This is the demonstration the tax authority can ask to see run live.

The archive of a period

The archive of a period: two dates, one file.
The archive of a period: two dates, one file.

Choose two dates and download the file: sales, closings and events for the period, with its fingerprint. This is what you hand over to an inspector or your accountant, and what you keep if you ever change software.

Printing the certificate

Printing the certificate.

The compliance certificate is the first document the tax authority asks for in an audit. Print it, sign it, keep it with your accounting records: not being able to produce it costs a €7,500 fine.

Frequently asked questions

Do I need to turn on a setting to be compliant?

No. The four legal obligations are guaranteed by the till itself, with no setting to tick. This page only serves to prove it, to you as much as to an inspector.

What's the risk of not being able to produce the certificate?

Not being able to produce it during an audit costs a €7,500 fine. Print it and sign it in advance, don't improvise it on the day.

What's the integrity check for?

It recalculates the whole chain of your sales and closings and reports "intact", or lists each break. This is the demonstration the tax authority can ask you to run in front of them.

What does the downloadable archive contain?

The sales, closings and events for the chosen period, with their fingerprint. This is what you hand over to an inspector or your accountant, and what you keep if you ever change software.
