Adding a product
The name you'll read at the counter, the sale and purchase prices, the alert threshold, the quantity on the shelf and the supplier to reorder from.

- The name you'll read at the counter. Write it as you'd say it to a client, brand included. This is the name you'll search for at the till, mid-sale: "Repair shampoo 250 ml" is findable, "SH-RP-250" isn't.
- The sale price. This is what shows at the till. Enter your purchase price just below: the studio then calculates your real margin and the value of your shelf, product by product.

The sale price, and just below it the purchase price. - The alert threshold. Below this quantity, the product rises up in alerts and in your orders' restock suggestions. Set it to what you sell during your supplier's delivery time — that's what keeps you from running out.

The alert threshold. - What you already have on the shelf. The quantity you have on hand today. It's the starting point: after that, sales, deliveries and stock exits move it on their own.
- Who you reorder it from. Link the product to its supplier, with its reference and delivery time. This link is what lets an order fill itself automatically when the product drops below its threshold.

Who you reorder it from.
The product becomes sellable at the till as soon as it's saved. Everything can still be edited afterwards from its page — except stock, which is only corrected by a delivery, a stock exit or a count.
Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the alert threshold?
Set it to what you sell during your supplier's delivery time. That's what keeps you from running out while the order is on its way.
Can I edit the product after creating it?
Yes, everything can still be edited from its page — except stock, which is only corrected by a delivery, a stock exit or a count.
Is the barcode required?
No, only if the product has one. Entered, it lets a scanner find it with one beep at the till, with no need to type its name.
What's the supplier linked to a product for?
It's this link that lets a supplier order fill itself automatically as soon as the product drops below its alert threshold.
